New government once again committed to city’s internationalisation

Carles Ruiz was re-elected Mayor of Viladecans in the Constitutive Plenary Session after receiving 14 votes from the 25 city councillors.

STARTING A NEW CYCLE

Mayor Carles Ruiz began his speech by highlighting the presence of so many female councillors and noting that, “We’re not only representatives, we’re citizens. The governing team of PSC and En Comú have done a lot of work and I’m very happy to be able to continue it.”

He also thanked all the political parties for their words and willingness to collaborate, and announced a new era “that I am sure will be a new cycle not only for Viladecans but also in terms of tackling challenges society must face today and in the future.”

SERVING INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY

With the constitution of this new left-wing government, here in Viladecans we are moving into this new era full of motivation and the desire to continue making the city’s international activity one of the key pillars. How will we do this?

  • We will promote the internationalisation of local educational policies and educational projects with other countries.
  • We will continue the city’s international activity to attract new opportunities for innovation actions through European calls.
  • We will design an International Projection Plan to coordinate actions geared towards raising visibility and positioning on the international stage.
  • We will consolidate the city’s Ambassadors Programme.
  • We will participate actively in international networks aligned with the city’s strategy.
