The 0 School Dropout Mission at the 17th International Congress Educating Cities

The presentation of good practice from Viladecans focused on how the two city missions are being worked on: achieving 0 school dropout rates and being a climate-neutral city by 2030.

Also, in the Diálogo Directo; space, the Edunauta Passport was presented, a project to expand educational opportunities and accredit learning outside of school for children and families that stimulates and connects all the educational power from Viladecans.

Coordination of educational innovation in Spain

Since the end of last year and after obtaining 100% of the votes of the RECE General Assembly, Viladecans has chaired this network. This position involves providing technical support, leading and coordinating the activity and operation of the RECE and organizing the XVII meeting in 2025.

Viladecans focuses his presidency on working for zero school dropouts, which is one of the city two Missions within the 2030 Strategy (the other is to work against climate change by achieving zero carbon emissions). Specifically, the efforts are focused on making this Mission known and contributing to the fact that all educational cities promote measures to increase the number of young people with post-compulsory education qualifications.
